Most HubSpot training is a disguised sales pitch for a $15,000/month agency retainer. We’re building a local, independent community to share what actually works in the trenches.
You know the feeling. You’re staring at a broken automation workflow, a duplicate contact mess, or a custom report that refuses to pull the right data. You search the forums, watch a generic academy video, and leave more confused than when you started.
A few months ago, I submitted a formal request to run the official Detroit HubSpot User Group. I filled out the forms. I checked the boxes.
And then… crickets. Complete silence.
I looked around and realized Metro Detroit doesn’t even have an active group. So instead of waiting for corporate permission, I decided to build one anyway.
Honestly, it’s better this way. Because we aren’t an official chapter, we don’t have to follow a corporate playbook. We don’t have to let agencies sponsor the event just so they can pitch you their retainers. We can just focus on fixing the messy reality of running a portal day-to-day.
