Release Notes
What changed in Industrial PRO 2.0, and what to do on a site that already uses the theme. HubSpot numbers each upload (this release is listed there as version 49). In these docs, and in the theme's own files, it is version 2.0, because it is a major update.
Industrial PRO 2.0
New
- Request-a-quote cart. A header icon with an item count, a slide-in quote list, an Add to Quote button, and a request-a-quote page template. It is off by default. Turn it on in Theme Settings → Quote Cart. See the Quote Cart guide.
- Five industry homepages (Home 3 to Home 7). Metal fabrication, industrial machinery, building materials, wholesale supplier, and industrial services. See Homepage Templates.
- Templates. Industries, Industry Detail, Capabilities, Capability Detail, Case Studies index, Request a Quote Cart, and Sales Territories. The Locations template now shows your company locations, and the new Sales Territories template shows which rep covers which state or province. See Industries & Capabilities.
- Modules. Resources Library, Sales Territories Map, Section Scroll Animator, Add to Quote Button, Quote Request Cart with Form, and Quote Cart Settings. See the module reference.
- Product Media. The Product Details Section takes photos and videos in one ordered list, and a product can have several videos.
- Transparent header option. The header sits over the hero image and turns solid as visitors scroll. See Transparent Header.
- Quote cart console test. Print the cart contents and a pass/fail check of the form in the browser console. See Test your setup in the browser console.
- This documentation site. A getting-started guide, a reference page for every module, and short tutorials.
Improved
- The mega dropdown menu panel now spans the header instead of shrinking to its menu item.
- The language dropdown no longer wraps the last letter of each language name.
- Removed the jQuery dependency from the Section Settings Extension module. It now runs on plain JavaScript, so pages no longer need to load jQuery for it. That is one less script for the browser to download, and it fixes a "$ is not defined" console error on pages where jQuery was not loaded.
- The Industry Detail template puts the breadcrumbs below the page title banner.
- Performance, SEO, and upgrade-safety fixes.
Action needed on existing sites
Product Details Section: Product Image and Video are replaced by Product Media. Existing values are not carried over, so the gallery on your product pages will be empty after you update.
- Open each product page and select the Product Details Section.
- Under Product Media, add one item per photo.
- To add a video, paste its YouTube or Vimeo URL into that item's Video field. The item's image becomes the video's thumbnail.
Nothing else changes on existing pages. The quote cart stays off until you turn it on.
