You might have seen a little note under your website in a Google search result page saying your site is not mobile-friendly. But what does that mean? How do you make your site or web application mobile-friendly?
How is it Different from a Responsive Website?
Mobile-friendly is essentially the broad term for a site having a good user experience on mobile devices. The recommended method is responsive design. It is a one-size fits all approach. You could also have a dedicated mobile site or use adaptive design which loads different code depending on the device. But these options are more technical and require device detection on the server to provide the correct site version.
